Hoes, watering cans, hammers and fishing tools come in five tiers. Higher tiers have more Gathering, more uses, and room to grow.
| Tier | Base Gathering | Uses | Max level | Max rarity |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Basic | 50 | 40 | 10 | Common |
| Bronze | 100 | 100 | 20 | Uncommon |
| Iron | 200 | 200 | 40 | Rare |
| Gold | 350 | 400 | 60 | Ultra |
| Mythril | 500 | 800 | 80 | Legendary |
Gathering grows with a tool's quality, up to 3× its base. A hoe's Gathering decides which crops you can plant (see the Farming guide).
Basic tools come from the shop. Craft Bronze and higher with /craft smith: each needs 4 ingots of its tier and a Smithing level of 3, 6, 9 or 12.
Crafted tools roll a rarity. Higher Smithing levels and a hammer with Fortune give a better chance at an Uncommon or better tool. When you collect a craft, Miki shows what it rolled. Each rarity gives the tool more attribute slots: 1 for Common and Uncommon, 2 for Rare, 3 for Ultra and 4 for Legendary.
| Attribute | What it does |
|---|---|
| Haste | Crops grow faster |
| Bounty | A chance of an extra item |
| Finesse | Better quality |
| Fortune | Better rarity rolls |
| Tenacity | A chance to not use up a use |
Tools gain experience each time you use them. Every 5 levels, a tool grows: one attribute gets stronger, or it unlocks a new attribute slot.
Every use wears your tool down. When a Basic tool runs out of uses, it breaks. Any other tool becomes worn and needs a repair before you can use it again.
Use /tool repair to restore all of its uses with ingots of the tool's tier. The more worn it is, the more ingots it costs.
/tool reforge) moves a tool up one tier, keeping its rarity, level and attributes. It costs the next tier's recipe./tool temper) tries to raise a tool's rarity by one step. Materials are used up even if it fails, but every failure brings you closer to a guaranteed success.| Temper to | Smithing level | Cost | Guaranteed by attempt |
|---|---|---|---|
| Uncommon | 5 | 2 ingots | 5 |
| Rare | 15 | 3 ingots | 8 |
| Ultra | 30 | 4 ingots + 1 Fallen Star | 12 |
| Legendary | 45 | 4 Mythril Ingots + 2 Fallen Stars | 25 |
Each tier has a maximum rarity. Once a tool reaches it, reforge it to the next tier before tempering again. Repairing, reforging and tempering all wear down your equipped hammer and give you Smithing XP.
